Konkan Cashew Grades: What W180, W240 and W320 Mean
When you shop for whole cashews, labels such as W180, W240 and W320 can look like product codes. They are grading terms used to describe whole-kernel size categories.
What does the W mean?
The letter W refers to whole kernels. The number is associated with the approximate count of whole kernels per pound in the grading system. A lower number generally indicates larger kernels, while a higher number generally indicates smaller kernels.
W180
W180 is a larger whole-kernel grade. It is often chosen when the visual size of the cashew matters, including festive serving, gifting and premium snacking.
W240
W240 is a mid-sized whole-kernel grade and is a practical choice for everyday snacking and cooking.
W320
W320 is a smaller whole-kernel grade. It works well for everyday use where size is less important than having whole cashews available for cooking and snacking.
Which grade should you choose?
Choose based on how you plan to use the cashews. For larger kernels and presentation, consider W180. For a balanced everyday option, consider W240. For everyday cooking and snacking where a smaller whole kernel suits you, consider W320.
Our Konkan Cashew range is offered in W180, W240 and W320, with each option packed in a 454 g size.
